Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

Lamont County Now Eligible for Livestock Drought Recovery Support

Be advised, in discussions with the province, Lamont County is now included as part of the expanded 2023 livestock drought recovery support.

DEADLINE TO APPLY is February 22, 2024. Producers not eligible are encouraged by the Government of Alberta to enrol for Moisture Deficiency Insurance (for the upcoming year) by February 29.
