Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

Dust Abatement:

  • N/A

Road Gravelling:

  • Continues in Divisions 1 and 2. 
  • Cold Mix patching on Policy Roads and in St. Michael at 2024 catch basin installation locations.
  • Graders are actively maintaining gravel roads, as some roads are experiencing heavy agricultural use due to the time of the year.

Drainage Activities:

  • Drainage work in Division 1:
    • Culvert installation (southeast of Mundare).
  • Drainage work in Division 2:
    • N/A.
  • Drainage work in Division 3:
    • N/A.
  • Drainage work in Division 4:
    • N/A.
  • Drainage work in Division 5:
    • N/A.

Oiled Dust Abatement Patching:

  • N/A.

Miscellaneous:

  • Garbage pick up, as required.
  • Sign replacement, as required.
  • Tree removal, as required.
  • Reclaiming work is ongoing in the Weleschuk Gravel Pit.
  • Arrangements for Hamlet street sweeping.
