Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Council has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

  • Natural Resource Extraction: $2,500.00 flat fee plus $100.00 per hectare to a maximum of $5,000.00 (maximum does not include flat fee) Re-application fee: $1,500.00.
  • Uses other than Residential/Commercial/Industrial/Institutional: $1,000.00
  • Major Home Occupation: $300.00 + Discretionary.
  • Discretionary Uses: $250.00 additional to regular permit fee.
  • Variances: $250.00 additional to regular permit fee.

Subdivision Fees 

Note: Fees are non-refundable and subject to change without notice.

  • Standard Subdivision Fee at Application: $1,100.00 plus $250 per lot created (Example: First parcel out is $1,100 + $250 for new lot + $250 for remnant lot, for a total of $1,600).
  • Boundary Adjustment: $1,000 per lot.
  • Extension: $250.00 for 1st extension, $500 for 2nd extension.
  • Re-circulation: $250
  • Current Land Title Certificate: $20.00 per title + GST
  • Final Endorsement Fee: $1000.00 + GST
  • Approach Refundable Deposit: $3,500.00
  • Approach Construction Deposit for Endorsement: $7,500.00 + GST.
  • Cash In-Lieu of Municipal Reserve: $2,500.00 per acre.
  • Land Use Bylaw Amendment (Direct Control): $8,000.00 + $1,000.00 advertising costs.

  • $10,000.00 + $200 per HA to a maximum of $35,000 + $1,000.00 advertising costs.

New Development Concept Plan:

  • $7000.00 + referral & advertising cost. $10,000.00 deposit required ($5,000.00 non- refundable).

Caveat/Instrument Discharge:

  • $75.00

Registered Subdivision Plan Cancellation:

  • $1,500.00

Refunds:

  • 75 per cent before referral; 25 per cent during the referral period; no refund after referral period. 

File Search:

  • $75.00 per hour + extra charge for photocopies (two hours minimum).

Road Closure Application 

  • $3,000.00
