Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

 

  • Lamont County is seeking farming tenders for one property:
Contract: Land Rental Tender (Hay & Pasture)
Land parcel:  SE-11-56-16-W4
Dates:

One-Year Term with possible extension
*June 6 2025 to December 1, 2027*.

Deadline for Sealed Tender Submission:  May 30 at 12:00 p.m.

 

Please outline your intent for the tender(s) as relevant for:

  1. Land parcel;
  2. Quote on price per acre (for parcel 1 and parcel 2);
  3. Percentage Crop Share on Custom Farming Particle; and
  4. Purchase Price per bale of the remaining County’s portion ($/bale to buy back) 
    (e.g., if it is a 1/3 - 2/3 custom farming, what you pay for the 1/3 the County gets).

Sealed Tenders will be opened in Lamont County Public Works Board Room at 55304A, HWY 831 - Lamont AB, on May 30, at 1:00 p.m. by Agricultural Services.
