Lamont County is committed to safe burning practices. Some key facts about Lamont County's fire permit program include:

no burning is permitted when winds are stronger that 15 km/hr

permit holders can be asked to extinguish fires when smoke is a nuisance for neighbours
-
permit holders are responsible for the care, control and extinguishment of fires
