Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

Reeve's Golf Tournament Donates $24,000 to Food Bank & Schools

Lamont County Council presented cheques to the recipients of the funds raised during the 2019 Reeve's Golf Tournament held in August. Local businesses, industry, municipalities and residents came together to raise $24,000 for the charities of choice. 

A cheque for $12,000 was presented to the chair and vice chair of the County of Lamont Food Bank, and cheques for $4500 were presented to the principals of the Mundare and Andrew Elementary Schools for their school lunch and breakfast programs, and cheques for $1500 were presented to the principals of Lamont and Bruderheim Elementary Schools for their breakfast program.

Since its inception in 2014, the Lamont County Reeve's Golf Tournament has raised a total of $86,000 for local charities.
