Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw 775.17 Road Closure

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: A public hearing for the closure of the undeveloped road allowance between NE-21 & SE 28-56-20-W4 and NW 21 & SW 28-56-20-W4  will be held on August 8, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Read further for full details.

A BYLAW OF LAMONT COUNTY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING PUBLIC TRAVEL AND DISPOSING OF A PORTIONS OF AN UNDEVELOPED ROAD ALLOWANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, CHAPTER M26 .1, REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, AS AMENDED.

WHEREAS the Undeveloped Road Allowance between NE-21 & SE 28-56-20-W4 and NW 21 & SW 28-56-20-W4 is no longer required for public travel, and

WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the undeveloped road allowance closed, and

WHEREAS
the Council of Lamont County deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the purpose of closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof, situated in the said municipality, and therefore disposing of same; and

WHEREAS
notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act,

THEREFORE TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to Sections 606 of the Municipal Government Act, a Public Hearing to consider the proposed Bylaw will be held:

Date: Tuesday, August 8, 2017
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Place: Council Chambers, Lamont County Administration Bldg., 5303 – 50th Avenue, Lamont AB

AND FURTHUR TAKE NOTICE THAT
anyone wishing to submit a written representation may do so by providing the submission to Stephen Hill, Director of Planning and Community Services before 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT a copy of the proposed bylaw is posted at www.lamontcounty.ca for review and may be inspected at the Lamont County office during normal business hours.
