NEWS RELEASE – 2021 Lamont County Organization Audit
November 30, 2021 – LAMONT, AB: At the Special Council Meeting on November 29, council approved the public release of its Organizational Audit Report.
On November 18, Strategic Steps presented a formal organizational audit that provides insight into Lamont County’s internal organizational structure, governance structure and internal operations. This is a high-level audit rather than a full organizational review.
Overall, the audit confirms Lamont County operations appear to be conducted with the best of intentions, and service levels meet stakeholder needs—the report confirms the County is operating within provincial legislative requirements.
The audit also recommends areas of focus and considerations where changes can be made to improve both short-term and long-term municipal operations through governance, legislative comprehensiveness, and organizational structure. The County strives to continue to serve its local and regional stakeholders, while achieving organizational sustainability and stability.
