Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

MG30 Dust Abatement Trial - June 29 to July 4 - EXTENDED (completion date TBD)

Lamont County Public Works is trialing a magnesium dust abatement product on TWP 562 from St. Michael to RR190. This project is estimated to take three days to complete. We will be starting tomorrow morning and is planned to be complete July 4 end of day (and has been extended due to weather, completion date is TBD). Public Works requests residents find alternate routes during this time, if possible. Note: one lane will be maintained throughout the project.
