RANGE ROAD 192 FROM TOWNSHIP ROAD 550 TO SOUTH OF TOWNSHIP ROAD 542

Sealed tenders marked "Lamont County, Range Road 192 from Township Road 550 to South of Township Road 542” will be received at offices of the Lamont County Administration Building at 5303 – 50 Avenue, Lamont AB, T0B 2R0, up to 11:00 A.M., 11 July 2019.

The work generally involves the construction of:

Range Road 192 from Township Road 550 to South of Township Road 542:


1. Strip & Stockpile 150mm of existing topsoil - 86,000 m2
2. Place topsoil from stockpile c/w hydroseeding - 8.2 ha
3. Borrow excavation supplied by the Contractor - 65,000 m3
4. Remove of Subcut waste material - 20,250 m3
5. Standard Subgrade Preparation 500mm depth - 72,000 m2
6. Supply and Install Geogrid - 22,000 m2
7. Supply and Place 75mm Depth Crushed Gravel Base - 68,000 m2
8. Common Excavation and Compaction - 40,000 m3
9. Remove & Dispose Culverts various size & length - 26 ea
10. Supply & Install Culverts various size & length - 38 ea
11. Supply and Install Silt Fencing - 500 l.m.
12. Supply and Install Barbed Wire Fence - 30 l.m.
13. Supply and Install Rock Check Dams - 40 ea
14. Supply and Install Waddles - 20 ea

Tender documents may be obtained from the office of the Engineer on or after 2:00 PM 20th June 2019 upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $150.00 paid by cash or a cheque made payable to the Engineer. Documents can be downloaded for free from www.sedesign.ca or Alberta Purchase Connection (APC) website.

Tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Cheque in the amount of 10% of the tender amount and made payable to the Lamont County.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The prices tendered will not be the only consideration in evaluating whether to accept the tender from a qualified tenderer. Experience of personnel, nature of equipment used, proposed construction scheduling and references on previous work undertaken by the tenderer will also be considerations.
