Canada Post Strike: Reminder (Mail Disruption)

During the current postal strike, Lamont County is working on all alternatives for accounts payable and invoicing, including any outstanding tax payments or land title requests. With no mail delivery, options include in person at the Admin. Building, online banking, after-hours drop box, and courier delivery. Please be patient as the strike continues. Contact Administration if an emergent situation occurs.

Fire Permits Now Being Issued

Please be advised effective December 7, 2016, at 3:15 p.m. Lamont County Emergency Services has begun allowing fire permits to be issued, with the exception of the area that encompasses the Skaro Fire Area. Excluded locations are listed below:
  • Twp Road 582 from Hwy 831 to Range Road 185
  • South on Range Road 185 to Twp Road 572
  • West on Twp Road 572 to Hwy 831
As per Lamont County Fire Bylaw 715.11 Section 3.4 A) No permits shall be issued for muskeg / peat moss lands. 

Fire permits can be applied for online or at the Andrew, Bruderheim, Lamont or Mundare Administration offices. For more information contact Emergency Services via email or at 780-895-2233 ext. 242.
