Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

Community Grants (Halls and Transportation) Now Open

Lamont County recognises the valuable contributions made by community organizations and volunteer groups to improve the health, well-being and social development of the community and the quality of life for its residents. In recognition of these contributions, the County is committed to aiding such organizations through a predetermined allocation of money budgeted each year.

Community Halls and Transportation Grants program is now accepting applications. The application period runs from March 1 through June 1 each year.

Community Sponsorship Grants run year-round and can be applied for online as well.
