Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Emergency Services has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

AFSC 2021 Canada-Alberta Livestock Feed Assistance Initiative AgriRecovery Program

The AgriRecovery Program is support for Livestock Producers and Beekeepers to help address the extraordinary costs due to reduced grazing capacity impacted by the long dry weather and extreme high temperatures for breeding females only.
