2021 Dust Abatement Program

Lamont County Public Works is advising ratepayers that a dust abatement program will be administered for 2021; the 2020 program was cancelled due to flooding.

Ratepayers who want Lamont County to apply dust abatement adjacent to their residence are required to pay in advance for the cost of the work, and complete a Dust Abatement Agreement prior to the application of the dust abatement product.

In order to allow for planning of the dust abatement program, any dust abatement must be applied for by May 15, 2021. Any applications received after this date will not necessarily be completed.

Requested work will be scheduled to be completed in conjunction with the County’s annual dust abatement program. All dust control application will be at the discretion of the Director of Public Works.

Rates for dust abatement will be set at the May 25, 2021, Council Meeting.
