Fire Ban - Lamont County (April 25)

FIRE BAN Due to dry conditions Lamont County Council has issued a fire ban, effective immediately.  No open fires or burning are allowed in campgrounds or in any other area within the County, no exceptions.  ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY Propane Barbeques will be allowed for cooking purposes only. And MUST be attended to at all times while in use.

Tax Notices Mailed Out – Due June 30!

Please note that, in accordance with Section 311(1) of the Municipal Government Act, the 2022 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices are mailed to all taxpayers this week. Payment is due June 30.

A 10% penalty will be applied to all unpaid taxes on July 1, 2022.

Accurate Assessment Group Ltd., the assessors for Lamont County, is available to speak with ratepayers (seen on a first-come, first-served basis):

  • At the Lamont County Open House on June 21 from 6-9 p.m.; and
  • At the Lamont County Administration Building on June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
