Everyone pays education taxes, regardless off whether they have children in school or not. However there is an “Education Property Tax Assistance for Seniors” program through the provincial government. Please see www.seniors.gov.ab.ca for more details.
Where is Lamont County Public Works located?
The Public Works Shop is located Elk Island Park Road (Hwy 831 South of Hwy 15) approximately 2 kilometres from our Administration Building.
What are the hours of the office?
The Administration Building is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and is closed Statutory Holidays.
How do I apply for a Tax Search or a Certificate?
Tax Searches are $5.00 per parcel of land and Tax Certificates are $20.00 per parcel of land. Please fax in your request, including the legal land description of each parcel. Include a facsimile of the cheque you have made to Lamont County. We will fax back the results, and then mail the hard copy to you once we receive your cheque in the mail.
