EARLY
CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS (0-6)
Parent & Tot, Family Start, The COW Bus, Rhymes & Storytime, Family Day Home Program and Parent Link Center are programs offered to parent/caregivers and children aged 0-6.  Parents and children interact with each other while learning new skills, making friends and having fun.  Occasional guest speaker attend sharing new and innovative parenting skills. Summer programming for this age group is facilitated in partnership with Lamont Public Library.
Family Day Home Program 
Our provincially licensed program provides our community with subsidized, quality child care. Our day homes offer families opportunities to seek tailored, safe and nurturing care that can meet the comprehensive developmental needs of all children. We recruit, screen and select appropriate providers and continue to monitor, support and provide professional development to providers. We will ensure that your child’s and your needs are met.  Subsidy is available to families that qualify. We are in need of providers. Please join our team!

CHILD/YOUTH PROGRAMS (6 – 18)
Drinking and Driving, Substance Abuse, peer pressure, self esteem, internet dangers/predators, bullying, home alone, True 2You, summer programs, WAIT, and Babysitting course are some programs/presentations that have been offered. 
True 2 You
Is for girls in grade 5 & 6 designed to nurture self-esteem in  through physical activity, healthy approaches to nutrition, self-reflection and opportunities to express themselves.  Some activities the girls participate in is  PIZZA PARTY,NAIL ART, GOLF, TEAM BUILDING, NUTRITION ,COOKING, CRAFTS, YOGA, SELF CARE

PARENTING/ADULT PROGRAMS
BULLYING, RESPECT, FORGIVENESS, Internet predators, Raising Amazing Kids, Connecting  With Teens, Parenting Through Divorce, Infant/Child First Aid, Internet Dangers/predators, Drinking & Substance Abuse, Spring Tune Up (Women’s Conferenc).
Raising Amazing Kids
This six week course  encourages parents to use their parenting strengths, to learn new skills, to become more involved in their children’s education and to become more active in their communities.

SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS
Seniors Fair, Senior Support, Community Planting, Railway Excursion, Retirement & Benefit Programs for Seniors, Senor Advocacy, Support Services, Information and referrals.
Community Planting
A unique community planting project took place in Mundare and Lamont.  Local seniors worked side by side elementary school children in beautifying their community by planting flowers.  Twenty (20) Mundare seniors shared this experience with forty nine (49) elementary students and Lamont saw six (6) seniors interacting with Thirty Six (36) grade 2 students.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Community Awareness/Fall Registration, Family Fun Night, Volunteer Appreciation, Christmas Hampers, Emergency Food Hampers, Community Counselling, Choose Well Challenge, Interagency, Rural Health & Safety Days, Dare To Care.
Community Counselling Program
Professional, confidential counseling is available to all Lamont County Residents.  Fees are subsidized on a sliding scale.  For appointments, Please call:  992-6267 or 1-877-482-6215.

RURAL HEALTH & SAFETY DAY
A teaching video has been created on the planning and implementation of Rural Health and Safety Day. This event, supported by Lamont County, was designed to run as a field day for children 5 to 11 years old. Health and safety issues were presented to over 700 students. This multi discipline approach addressed safety issues involving water, ATVs, electrical, machinery, livestock, chemical and grain handling. Fire and Ambulance demonstrations were included. Follow up materials for students and teachers were provided.
