EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS (0-6) Parent & Tot, Family Start, The COW Bus, Rhymes & Storytime, Family Day Home Program and Parent Link Center are programs offered to parent/caregivers and children aged 0-6. Parents and children interact with each other while learning new skills, making friends and having fun. Occasional guest speaker attend sharing new and innovative parenting skills. Summer programming for this age group is facilitated in partnership with Lamont Public Library. RURAL HEALTH & SAFETY DAY
A teaching video has been created on the planning and implementation of Rural Health and Safety Day. This event, supported by Lamont County, was designed to run as a field day for children 5 to 11 years old. Health and safety issues were presented to over 700 students. This multi discipline approach addressed safety issues involving water, ATVs, electrical, machinery, livestock, chemical and grain handling. Fire and Ambulance demonstrations were included. Follow up materials for students and teachers were provided. |
